Your first look: New Nicka K New York Nail Colors & Lip Colors Review & Swatches

Good afternoon, lovelies!

Today, I have a sneak peak of a few of the new line of nail colors and  Lip Colors from Nicka K New York. Let's get started!

Gold Shimmer, Apricot, Lavender, Ice Berg
Dolphin, Velvet Green, Royal Fuchsia, Violet

Gold Shimmer
No need for a description here, the name says it all! The perfect name for this nail polish. This was 1 generous coat.

Apricot
Apricot is a soft, peachy pink creme. This was a tad streaky, but evened out after the second coat. This was my least favorite from the bunch. I think that this color has been replicated so many times and since I have many others that are similar, if not the same.

Lavender
A soft, lavender creme. The formula was extremely smooth and was opaque after two coats. Lavender has made its way to my top picks in this post!

Ice Berg
Another color that has made it to my top picks is, Ice Berg. Its a gorgeous, sky blue infused with aqua shimmers. I looked through my stash and found nothing similar! This was two easy coats.

Dolphin
This is my absolute favorite from this collection! Dolphin is a beautiful, turquoise infused with aqua micro shimmers. This picture does not do any justice! It's so much more vibrant and stunning in person. This was one, yes one, effortless coat!

Velvet Green
I had a difficult time catching the color from this nail polish. -_- This is a vibrant, forest green shimmer. This was also one generous coat.

Royal Fuchsia
Hmmm, IMO, I would say this is more of a magenta infused with violet shimmers. This was one generous coat.

Violet
A vibrant, purple infused with violet shimmers. This has rounded off my top picks from this post! This was one coat, but perhaps an additional coat would have made it more opaque.

NK Nail Enamel vs Nicka K New York Nail Colors

Lavender, Dolphin, Ice Berg, and Violet

Hypes! (The good)
Big 3 Free
Great formula
Easy application
Richly pigmented
Most are 1 coaters
Average dry time
Glossy

Yikes! (The not so good)
Apricot was a bit streaky
May be hard to fine aside from online

Overall, I'm loving these nail polishes. I have to say that I am quite impressed that many of them only required one coat. Just by looking, I thought that the last 4 colors would be sheer, but that just goes to show you, don't judge a nail polish by the bottle! ;) I also love the packaging. The handle does not interfere with application, but seems to act as a nice grip. Nothing but, good vibes with this new line of nail polishes!

Lip colors:
Nicely pigmented - Doe foot applicator - Non-sticky - Lightly scented citrus - Flavorless - 2 hours of wear time before reapplication

Each will retail for $4.99 ea on the Nicka K website
These have yet to be released and I will keep you all posted.
Nicka K New York Nail Colors consists of 44 new nail polish colors.
Salon quality formula that has been improved for smooth, easy application

As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

Nicole by OPI: Wel-Kim to My World Review & Swatches

Hi, everyone!

Today I have the six latest additions to the Kardashian Kolors collection. This collection consists of 1 glitter, 1 opalescent shimmer, and 4 creme nail polishes. There's quite a bit to cover, so let's get into it! ;)

"Nicole by OPI announces the launch of Wel-Kim to My World, a collection of new nail lacquers inspired by Kim Kardashian.  The line features six pastel-hued shades in white, pink, blue and honey tones that give nails a subtle pop of color. Lacquers Lights, Kim-era, Action! and Here Kim’s the Sun feature glitter and opalescent shimmer to create an added element of glitz."

Here Kim's the Sun
Kicking off this review, we have Here Kim's the Sun, an opalescent glitter. I love the fact that this glitter is so universal and would probably look great over any color. Use as a top coat to your existing mani to add a bit of sparkle and shine. I'm sure a black or dark base would help aid in the true beauty of this glitter. This was 2 coats and the glitters were dispersed evenly throughout the nail.

Lights, Kim-era, Action!
Oooh la la! Lights, Kim-era, Action is a gorgeous opalescent beauty. If pearls were turned into liquid, this is probably what they would look like, fabulous! In some lights/angles, you can see hints of pink and aqua. This was 2 easy coats and applied perfectly over each nail. Lights, Kim-era, Action! has made its way to my top 3 picks from this collection!

Others Pale by Kim-parison
An off-white, sheer creme. OPBK require 3 coats for opacity, but the end result was well worth the extra effort. IMO, this color offers a clean and elegant color to your nails. Sophisticated and chic!

One coat of Here Kim's the Sun over Others Pale by Kim-parison

Kim Konfidential
I have finally found the perfect mannequin colored nail polish that is close to my natural skin tone! Kim Konfidential is a gorgeous, beige nude that required 2 coats for opacity. The formula on this was perfection and I had not trouble with application. This is another color that has easily made its way onto my top 3 picks!

Up & Kim-ing Pink
LOL, Nicole by OPI did a great job naming these nail polishes! ;) Up & Kim-ing Pink is a beautiful, bubblegum pink that leans on the Pepto Bismol side. IMO, it looks fairly similar to OPI's Pink Friday from the Nicki Minaj collection, but I can't say for sure that it is an actual dupe. Personally, when it comes to pink, I prefer more cool toned pinks. Up  Kim-ing Pink and Pink Friday are perfect examples. This was 2 coats and rounded off my top 3 picks!

Nothing Kim-pares to Blue
Again with the names, genius! ;) NKTB is a cornflower blue that leans slightly onto periwinkle infused with fine, micro shimmers. This was 2 coats, but perhaps another coat would have evened out the color. Another beauty, that just missed my top 3 list.

Up & Kim-ing Pink, Kim Konfidential, and Lights, Kim-era, Action!
This was determined by half of the nail polishes I personally enjoyed the most in each collection(s). Ex. If there are 6 nail polishes in 1 collection, 3 nail polishes will be chosen etc. DB Top Picks have passed the following 4 requirements: formula, application, pigmentation, and overall quality of the product.

Final Thoughts: Overall, I thought that these additional 6 shades were a great addition to the Kardashian Kolors Collection. For the most part, they are all very work appropriate colors that aren't too out there, if you know what I mean. Formula on these were great and had average dry time. Two out of the three colors required 3 coats due to sheerness.

As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

Swatchfest: New Milani 2012 nail lacquers (picture heavyyy)

Good afternoon, beauties!

From the image and title, you know that there's a TON to cover! Let's get to it!

Juno
A delicate, peachy pink pastel infused with a subtle, pink shimmer. A bit streaky on the first coat, but evened out after the next. The pink shimmer is more apparent in person.

U Pinky Swear
A peachy, salmon pink creme. This was 2 coats.

A Rose Mylady
A peachy, misty rose infused fine silver shimmers.

Orchidia
Orchidia is well, a medium orchid infused with silver shimmers. The formula was fairly thin and required 3 coats for opacity.

Sail Away
Probably my favorite nail polish from this entire post. Sail Away is a denim blue infused with silver micro shimmers. This def. reminds me of a pair of jeans. Application was beautiful and only required one coat for complete opacity!

Beach Front
Beach Front is a gorgeous, powder blue infused with silver micro shimmers. Can you believe that the image above was one coat?! Yes, ladies, one coat! This has def. made it to my top picks list!

Mint Candy
A warm, teal infused with beautiful green/teal shimmers. This was 2 coats.

Key West
An aqua, teal shimmer. The formula was a bit thin and required 2 coats for opacity.

Silver Stilletos
A silver, metallic foil. Most silver foils in my stash tend to drag and/or be streaky, but this one applies effortlessly in 2 coats.

Signature Gold
Hmm, I wouldn't call this gold, but your basic, metallic copper. This applied nicely after 2 coats.

Teddy Brown
A greige or mushroom creme. Honestly, I have tons of nail polishes similar to this shade, that unfortunately, this color did not impress me to much. Perhaps, a golden shimmer would have set this apart. Nonetheless, this was 2 easy coats.

Chocolate Sprinkles
A dark brown infused with golden shimmers. This was 2 coats and has also made its way to my top picks.

Dark Coffee
A glossy, chocolate syrup creme. Dark coffee is extremely pigmented and required 2 coats for opacity. One coat could be achieved if you are more careful.

Deep Thoughts
An intense, royal purple infused with magenta shimmers. This is richly pigmented and is oh, so beautiful in person. Not to mention, this nail polish is extremely glossy making it top coat optional. This was 2 easy coats, but I could have gotten away with 1 if I were more careful. Deep thoughts has also made my top picks.

On the Spot
Your basic white creme. This was a bit streaky, but evened out after the second coat.

Black Swift
Your basic black creme that is extremely glossy. First coat was thin and required 2 coats for opacity.

Yellow Whiz
A bright, yellow glossy creme. Like most yellows, this was pretty streaky and required 2 coats.

Violet Dash
A medium, violet creme. Great formula and is also extremely glossy. This was 2 coats.

Hot Pink Frenzy
A bright, hot pink infused with pink and blue shimmers. This was 2 coats.

Fast Fuchsia
A cool, fuchsia creme that is opaque after 2 coats. Great formula and flawless application.

Jiffy Orange
A caution cone orange creme. I had trouble capturing the actual color, so just think of a caution/traffic cone. This was 2 coats and offered beautiful application.

Rapid Cherry
A cool, bright red creme that was opaque after 2 coats.

Pink Flare
A sheer, light pink base infused with silver and pink micro shimmers and small hex holographic glitters. This was 2 coats.

Lavender Fizz
A clear base infused with lavender micro glitters and small lavender hex glitters. This was 2 coats.

Twinkle
A clear base infused with purple glitters and  small aqua hex glitters. This was 2 coats.

Teal
A clear base infused with aqua glitters, medium aqua hex glitters,  medium  green hex glitters, and  medium  silver hex glitters.

Lavender
A clear base infused with lavender glitters and medium hex glitters. This was 2 coats.

Fuchsia
A clear base infused with magenta glitters and medium magenta hex glitters. This was 2 coats.

Hot Pink
A clear base infused with medium fuchsia and holo glitters. This was 2 coats.

Red
A clear base infused with medium hex glitters. I have been searching for a plain red hex glitter and Milani did not disappoint!

Sail Away, Beach Front, Chocolate Sprinkles, Deep Thoughts, Hot Pink, and Red

The good
Great application
Great formula
Ultra glossy
Maximum of 2 coats
Even Distribution of glitter

The not so good
Some colors were not too unique.

Each retail for $4.99 and you can find these at your local drugstores Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, and Traget etc.

As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

Do you own any of these colors? Which colors have caught your attention? Thoughts?! I'd love to know down below!
