Mack Gives Back: The Sounds of the 80's Collection

Hey, beauties!

Today, I have the five nail polishes from The Sounds of the 80's Collection from Mackinleigh over at Mack Gives Back.

Now, I'm not an 80's baby, (90's baby, woop! woop!) but I do know each of these songs by heart. I grew up with my dad constantly playing music from this generation, so I was exposed to great music at a young age! ;) Here are the swatches!

First up, Wild Thing. This one makes my heart "sang"! ;) This is a matte rainbow beauty! It's a clear base packed with matte, yellow, blue, purple, and red glitters, matte pink and white micro hexes, small, matte green, sky blue, orange, yellow, lavender, red, and orange hexes, medium matte pink, green, yellow, purple, and pearl hexes, and pearl and purple squares. That was a mouth full! This was applied nicely in one generous coat.

Next, Whip It. Whip it good! ;) This is a clear base loaded with small, matte lavender, pink, green, and red hexes, and medium red, purple, and sky blue hexes. Application was a breeze and glitter distribution was on point in one coat.

Love Shack is hands down my favorite from the collection. It's a clear base loaded with magenta, gold, and pink holo glitters, small, metallic red, metallic red, and matte lavender hexes, large metallic purple squares, and matte hearts. You all know I'm not a huge fan of wine/berry polishes, but it worked perfect as a base color for this look! Application was perfect and even in one generous coat. I did, however, experience curling with the large square hexes, so a thick TC is highly recommended.

Under Pressure is a clear base packed with matte white, holo, and aqua glitters, small, metallic sky blue hexes, and medium, metallic aqua, metallic periwinkle and matte, muted green hexes. A great combination all around! I can't help but think of the ocean and mermaids when I look at this polish. This applied nicely in one generous coat. I also experienced slight curling from both medium, metallic glitters, so again, a thick TC is a MUST!

Lastly, Super Freak. Another one of my faves from this collection! It's a clear base packed with holo, magenta, and aqua micro hexes, aqua micro squares, small, metallic sky blue and matte pearl hexes, and small purple squares. I love this over a dark plum base and I'm currently wearing this combination! This was perfect in one generous coat.

Feature: Lone Wolf Accents

Hey beauties!

I'm about to head out to the gym, but I wanted to share with you all, two pieces from Molly over at Lone Wolf Accents.

First up, the Golden Empress Body Chain.  I've been in search for the perfect body harness and I am glad to say, I've finally found "the one!" It's two gold chains that connects to a floral circle piece. It's meant to go over your neck and wrap around your stomach. It's ultra light-weight and is the perfect statement piece.

Next, the Golden Pyramid Hand Chain Ring Bracelet.  It's an elegant piece that's meant to be worn around your middle finger and wrap around your wrist. Like the necklace, it's super light weight and can be made to fit. It has a lobster clasp and three rings to choose a snug fit around the wrist. I love that this fits to a "T" and does not fall off the my wrist like my other hand chains.

Tough As Nails Lacquer: It's All Over Now & Breakfast Combo No. 1

Hey, beauties!

Today I have three polishes from Elizabeth over at Tough As Nails Lacquer. Here are some photos!

First up, It's All Over Now. This consists of a sheer grey jelly base and is packed with holo glitters, small, matte lavender hexes, small metallic light blue hexes, small metallic purple hexes, medium matte white hexes, and some matte white shreds. Application was good and applied nicely in two coats with some VNL. A third coat would have probably given a more opaque finish. I def. recommend using a thick top coat to smooth out the glitters. *As always, I never use a TC for any of my swatches to show you the true finish of each polish!*

Next, Go Sit On A Egg, which is part of the Breakfast No. 1 combo. This is a sheer, milky white base and is packed with yellow micro glitters, orange and holo glitters, small matte gold hexes, small metallic orange hexes, and medium metallic gold hexes. This applied nicely in two coats and was my favorite from the duo. TC required!

Lastly, The Baconian Method. As I was writing this post, I immediately started craving bacon and eggs! ;) This is a clear base and is loaded with black and white micro glitter, micro rose glitters, small metallic red and orange hexes, medium red hexes, and orange bar glitter. IMO, these colors are the perfect representation of bacon! Application was effortless and required one generous coat in the image below. TC required!

Glitz in a Bottle Swatches

Hey everyone!

Today's post features four, awesome polishes from Carolina over at Glitz in a Bottle. Here are some swatches!

*three of my nails decided that it would be fun to break on me, so be prepared to see shorter than average nails ;)*

First up, Angel Breath. This consists of a clear base and is packed with small matte yellow-gold hexes, small matte silver hexes, small matte baby pink hexes, and medium metallic pink hexes. I'm a huge fan of this color and I love anything with matte glitters. I think that she came up with the perfect name for this, it's very feminine and soft. This was done in two coats.

Next, Pink Dreams. This consists of a clear base and is packed with small, matte light blue, baby pink, and teal hexes. Application was good and applied nicely in two coats. The combination below reminded me of cotton candy or some sorta bubble gum, go figure! ;)

Endless Birthday is a clear base and is packed with small, yellow, red, green, orange, purple, and blue hexes, and orange bar glitter. This one is sooo beautiful in the bottle as it is on the nails, but it was real tricky to apply and I found myself fishing for glitter, but it's nothing a little patience and determination can't fix. This was two coats.

Lastly, my favorite from the bunch, Autumn Explosion.  This is a clear base and is loaded with black glitter, small, matte pale gold and small matte dark orange hexes. Another Fall appropriate color I will definitely be rocking soon! :) This was perfect in one coat.

Starry Earth Polishes

Hey everyone!

Today's post features three polishes I recently received from Elizabeth over at Starry Earth. Here are some photos!

First up, Sultan's Daughter. This polish consists of a sheer, light blue shimmery base and is packed with micro and small silvery, light blue matte hexes and small aqua hexes. This was applied very nicely and did not require any fishing of glitter. Sultan's Daughter is a part of the Princess Collection and definitely reminds me of Jasmine from Aladdin. (not sure if that's what she was going for!) The image below was done in one coat.

Next, Idea Factory. It's a clear base packed with orange micro hexes, small metallic blue hexes, red metallic squares, and white bar glitter. Like Sultan's Daughter, Idea Factory applied nicely and glitter distribution was perfect. This was two easy coats.

Lastly, Historically Inaccurate. This consists of a coppery, brown shimmer base and is packed with small copper hexes, small aqua hexes, and large brown hexes. This was my favorite from the three! I love the way the aqua adds a pop of color against the brown glitters. This was two coats over OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons.

Feature: Honey B Jewelry Bracelets

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!

I cannot believe it's already the 4th of September! This month is going by wayyy to fast! Heck, this year has gone by wayyy to fast! -_-

Anyway, today's post features two bracelets from Honey B Jewelry. Here are some photos!

First up, the Sunshine Yellow Chunky Bracelet. This is such a beautiful, versatile piece and I love the way the yellow looks paired with the chunky gold chain. I personally would wear this alone on one wrist as a statement piece with some stacking bracelets on the other. Cute n classy!

Next, the Sienna Orange Chunky Bracelet. This is the same exact bracelet as the first one, just with orange faux suede. This would be an idea piece for the Fall, but can def. be worn all year round!

Here's a shot of the packaging! It's perfect and ready for gift giving!
