OPI: Skyfall Collection Review & Swatches

Happy Monday, loves!

The second post of the day features the 12 piece Limited Edition Skyfall Collection from OPI. I have been patiently waiting for these babies ever since I saw the first promo picks of this collection! It was love a first sight, but did they live up to my initial expectations?! Keep reading! :)

Moonraker is a silvery, blue with a metallic/frost finish. Application was a bit streaky and the formula was pretty runny, so a little patience and a top coat is required. This was done in two coats.

The Living Daylights is a clear base that consists of small silver, gold, copper, and teal hexes. During application, I used the dabbing method and it worked fairly well with this polish. Glitter was dispersed nicely throughout the nail. I'm sure this one will be a hit in stores! ;)

Goldeneye - I'm sure this beauty will be the talk of the town! This is really a must see in person to really appreciate its true beauty. It's a clear base loaded with gold and sparse bronze flakes. I used three coats in the image below. I will say this, despite all its golden glory, like most glitters, removal is a real PAIN! Personally, however; it's worth it! ;)

The World is Not Enough is a brownish, taupe packed with violet, pink, and grey micro shimmers. Formula was thin and required three coats for opacity.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a bluish, grey packed with olive, gold, and violet flecks. This required two coats for opacity. It's even greater in person. :) Look familiar? If you have Zoya's Fei Fei, they're pretty much the same.

Live and Let Die was hands down my favorite from this collection! It's a blackened green packed with olive and gold micro shimmers. This has a stellar formula that only required one coat for complete opacity! As if this polish could not be any greater, it also dries fairly quick as well! LOVE! :)

Tomorrow Never Dies is a beautiful, blurple that applies effortlessly onto the nail. This was the closest I could get in terms of color because as you all know, my camera does not get along with blues/purples. -_- I used two generous coats in the image below.

Casino Royale is a rich, plum purple. This was perfect in two coats, but I could have easily gotten away with one generous coat. It's super glossy in person and was also one of my top picks from this collection.

Die Another Day is a burnt, orange with reddish undertones and is packed with subtle golden shimmers. This offered rich pigmentation and required one generous coat for opacity.

The Spy Who Loved Me is a bright, red orange packed with golden micro shimmers. Application was smooth and required two generous coats in the image below. Another one of my faves!

You Only Live Twice - I think this polish and Drake will never agree! LOL! ;) It's a vibrant, berry packed with gold and magenta flecks. This applied like a dream in two coats. Yep, this is in fact another one of my top picks!

Last, but most certainly not least, Skyfall. It's a burnt, maroon creme that dries to an ultra glossy finish. The formula was perfect making application a breeze. I'm currently wearing this as I type this post! This rounded off my top picks from this collection.

I loved every single color and that says a lot considering I rarely come across an entire collection that "WOWS" me!

Glitter removal is a pain
Golden Eye & The World is Not Enough required 3 coats for opacity

Feature: Style Love Living Bracelets

Good morning, loves!

Today I have three, gorgeous bracelets from Syle Love Living. Here are some photos!

First up, the Crystal Bow Bracelet. This is an elastic bracelet made up of gold beads and a rhinestone bow. I love how the plain gold beads tone down the overall look and focuses most of the attention on the bow.

Next, the Textured Cross Wrap Bracelet. Like the name entails, this is meant to wrap around your wrist giving you the illusion of wearing two bracelets. This is adjustable to three sizes.

Lastly, the Large Textured Cross Bracelet. This is made up of the same band as the previous bracelet. The large, gold cross makes for the perfect statement piece. This is adjustable to two sizes.

Here they are worn all together. I personally wouldn't wear them together like this, but I wanted to give you all an idea of how they look on the wrist. ;)

Here is a shot of the bottom of the bracelets. As you can see, adjusting them is a breeze and allows you to easily snap them on to your desired fit.

Aphrodite Lacquer: Printemps a Paris Collection

Second post of the day!

Next up, I have two polishes from Aphrodite Lacquer's Printemp's a Paris Collection. Here are a few swatches.

First up, Soleil. It's a sheer, pink milky base packed with ultra fine iridescent micro shimmers and red, pink, and fuchsia micro hexes. Application was nice and smooth. The image below was done in two coats.

Papillon consists of a sheer, lavender milky base packed with ultra fine micro shimmers and purple/lavender micro hexes. This was my favorite from the two. Like Soleil, application was a breeze. This was also done in two coats.

Soleil & Papillon - $8.00 ea - 15 ml

Rebecca has done it again! She continues to master her ability to create milky white bases, without overpowering the overall outcome of the glitter. In other words, the glitter isn't buried underneath the base, but instead "peaks" thru.

Easy application
Smooth formula

No curling

Feature: Lovely Obsessions Bracelets

Hi everyone!

Today's post features two bracelets from Maria over at Lovely Obsessions. Here are some photos!

First up, the Gold Spike Bracelet. I'm really loving spikes and pyramid jewelry at the moment. There's just something about its edginess that gets me every single time. This is made up of gold spikes that are tied together by a clear, elastic band.

Next, the Pyramid Bracelet. This was my favorite from the two and I've been reaching for it with every outfit.. It's a little less daring than the spike bracelet, making it perfect for everyday wear. Like the spike bracelet, this is also tied to together with a clear elastic.

GORGE! :)

Of course you could add other bracelets, but these two go hand-in-hand alone themselves!

Gold Spike Bracelet - $11.00
Pyramid Bracelet - $11.00

Feature: Bundle Monster Plates 2011 & 2012

Before I get into the post, let me first say that I was pretty adamant about never using Konad/stamping plates. I was always a firm believer(and still am) in creating free-hand designs. However, I understand that not everyone always have the luxury of time and/or steady hands to achieve beautiful nail art, which brings me to this post.

A few weeks ago, I received both the 2011 & 2012 Bundle Monster Plates. I've heard great things about these plates and being that I'm pretty much new to stamping, what better way to venture into the stamping world than with these babies!

These have been around for sometime now, so I did not take a pictures of all the plates because I'm pretty sure most of you have seen them all. I did, however; take a few shots of the plates that immediately caught my attention!

BM 2011 Plates

BM 2012 Plates

Beware:
These were my first attempts in stamping, so they're not perfect. Be nice! ;) LOL

25 piece BM 2011 Plates - $21.99
25 piece BM 2012 Plates - $21.99

Overall, I'm really enjoying these plates. With 6 designs on each plates, you get a total of 150 different stamps giving you endless possibilities. Each image is etched nicely and transfers beautifully. What makes these even greater is the fact that each plate has a protective paper backing, making it less sharp around the edges.

At $21.99, it's practically a steal! Konad is roughly around $7.00 per plate. Even without doing the math, you know you're saving tons of money!

You can purchase these directly from the Bundle Monster website:

As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

It'll probably take a while for me to get into the hang of this, so are there any tips and/or tricks that you recommend? Are you into stamping? Thoughts?! I'd love to know down below!

I know, I know, I'm late with this, but I've been debating on whether I should make another social account aside from my Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. After getting a new phone, I decided that is was finally time! So, if you have an Instagram, add me:

Kiss Your Elbow Swatches

You would think after swatching all these different glitter nail polishes that I'd be tired of them! Honestly, I enjoy seeing all these beautiful creations and I'm very fortunate that the makers see fit that I feature their polishes on my blog; it's very humbling indeed! :)

Today's post features four polishes from Kiss Your Elbow. Here are some swatches.

Winter is Coming is a clear base packed with white glitters, small silver hexes, large matte white hexes, and holo moons. The image below was done in one coat. I did experience fishing for the moons but, other than that, application was smooth.

Pinky Promise is a clear base packed with white glitters, small matte pink hexes, large white hexes, small pink squares, and pink hearts. Application was like buttah and applied evenly in one generous coat.

Broncos, Baby is a clear base packed with blue, silver, and copper glitters and large copper hexes. I love the color combination and had perfect coverage in one coat!

Candyman is jam packed with glitter! It's a clear base with red, green, purple, yellow, sky blue, white, hot pink, and lavender glitters varying from square and hex forms. The image below was done coat.
