Review: Batiste Dry Shampoo Fresh & Blush

Good evening, everyone!

I usually don't like to post this late, but  I was so excited to share this review with you all.

I've heard many sides on the issue of daily hair washing and personally, washing my hair each day is a MUST, but sometimes, I like to venture into the wonderful world of dry shampoos. A few weeks ago, I received two bottles of Batiste Dry Shampoos to test out, let's get to it!

Fresh & Blush

Directions

I have natural, long black hair and which makes oil very noticeable. Since my hair tends to get a little oily throughout the day, my hair requires being washed on an everyday basis.

When using this products, I like to split my hair into sections and spray where needed. Then, I massage the product on my scalp work the product into my roots. Lastly, I brush out my hair and style accordingly. This step is a must for dark hair gals like myself, in order to avoid a build up of product and to avoid a white cast.

On bad hair days, achieving volume is a pain, but I found that not only does this absorb any excess oil from my hair, but also doubles as a volumizing agent.

I personally prefer Fresh as opposed to Blush. In my opinion, Fresh offers a more crisp, clean scent, while Blush offers a much more heavy, floral feminine scent. They pretty much worked the same and had the same concept, the only difference was the scent.

Overall, I'm glad to introduce this product in my normal hair care routine. Like I said, I like to wash my hair on a daily basis, but this also works as a volumzing product that adds a bit of "bounce", if you will, to my hair. After using this product for a few weeks now, I can honestly say that this products works wonders for my hair. It's super easy to use and is effective if you follow the directions.

Availability:
I have seen Batiste products being sold at Sally's Beauty Supply Store and Bed Bath & Beyond,  Ulta.

Pricing:
$6-8 depending where you purchase from

As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

Do you use any Dry Shampoos? If so, what is your go-to brand? If not, would you ever consider trying them out? Thoughts?! I'd love to know down below!

  1. I have heard so many good things about these dry shampoos and they are definitely in my must-try-list. I have used on Oriflame´s dry shampoo and that was no good :S

  3. I use this exact dry shampoo in Blush and I think it's great! I used to wash my hair every day too but wanted to stop as it also meant I was heat styling my hair every day and it was getting pretty fried. So now I use this and I only have to was my hair every 2-3 days.

Only thing I'd say is I'm not in love with the smell of Blush either, I'll definitely try a different scent next time

  6. Great review, thanks! I haven't tried dry shampoos yet but really would like too! Do you have any suggestions on where to look for this product? I'm guessing I could find it on Amazon pretty easy, but do you know if it's sold in B&M stores, like a basic grocery store, etc? And what the price point is? Just curious, thanks for the review! =)

  8. I love Batiste Fresh.. bought it last Summer on a camping trip in Scotland and was really sadisfied with it. Haven't thought dry shampoo would help like this. In germany dry shampoo products are slowly showing up at the drugstores, but are not well known as batiste in England is.

  9. I do use dry shampoos. I use WEN and I don't need to wash my hair all that often now due to it - but I want to poof the volume and just freshen it up. My go to brand is the non aerosol version of Oscar Blondi. Really enjoyed this review - like to know of some good other choices. I did not like the one by Ojon I tried at all and that was a waste of $20 when I could have picked up another Oscar Blondi. The OB non aerosol lasts a long time I do have to say - I really get a ton of uses out of it..and it's a must to take to the hospital with you if you need to stay as an in-patient.
