Review & Swatches OPI: Pink of Hearts 2012 & So So Skullicious

Happy Sunday, beauties!

Today's post features two LE sets from OPI. The first set is Pink of Hearts, which is OPI's Breast Cancer Awareness Promotion and the Second is So So Skullicious which is a mini Halloween collection.

Here are some swatches! :)

I Think in Pink is a sheer, soft baby pink. You'll notice that all of the nail polishes from this post, with the exception of the glitter, all have a "squishy/milky/jelly finish. This applied nicely in two generous coats.

Next, You Glitter Be Good to Me. It's a clear base packed with metallic pink glitters and small, metallic magenta hexes. I personally would use this as a topper, but you can def build up the coverage with a few more coats, the image below required two.

One coat of You Glitter Be Good to Me over I Think in Pink.

Next up, the So So Skullicious Set!

First up, Candlelight. It's a bright, mustard yellow. In typical yellow fashion, it applied a bit streaky and required three coats for opacity.

Hi, Pumpkin! dries to an orange creme finish. This required two thick coats for opacity.

A-Rose From the Dead is a vibrant, magenta creme. This had great formulation and required two coats. This doesn't scream Halloween, but it goes hand-in-hand with the theme for this collection.

Lastly, Mourning Glory. It's a black creme that dries to an ultra glossy finish. The image below required two coats, but you can def. get away with one if you're careful!

Here are the nail tattoos that come with the set.

Vibrant colors
Smooth application
Nice formula
2 coats max
Glossy finish
No fishing for glitter

  2. I love the Pink of Hearts duo! Though I think a white base under I Think in Pink would make it more opaque, but I've yet to purchase a white polish. I'm afraid of difficulty in applying white polishes. Any recommendations?
