Review & Swatches: OPI Couture de Minnie

Good morning, beauties and happy Friday! :)

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I posted about OPI's new LE Couture de Minnie collection set to be released in June 2013. Here are my swatches!

Chic from Ears to Tails is a soft, pink shimmer. The shimmer is very subtle and slightly translates onto the nail. The formula on this a bit thin and required three, thin coats to reach opacity.

Minnie Style is a clear base loaded with small white and magenta hexes. The glitter distributes itself evenly throughout the nail and applies with ease in one generous coat. I recommend using the dabbing method first, then smoothing it out with the remaining polish on the brush. Loving this combination!

Magazine Cover Mouse is a raspberry, red base packed with gold and magenta shimmers. This dries to their liquid sand finish and is perfect in two coats.

A Definite Moust-Have - How cute is the name?! This is a hot pink with a subtle shimmer. The formula on this is top notch and applies like butter! This was two, easy coats.

Inneie Minnie Mightie Bow is a bright, crimson red with a subtle golden shimmer. I'm super picky when it comes to red and this did not disappoint! It's so much more vibrant IRL and required one generous coat for opacity!

Couture de Minnie nail lacquers each feature OPI’s exclusive ProWide Brush for the ultimate in application. Liquid Sand lacquers should always be worn without top coat. This limited edition promotion will be available beginning June 2013 at professional salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.

As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

  1. I think I'll give this collection a miss, except possibly for the textured polish. They're nice though, but I'm getting more selective as the stash grows :)
