A few months ago, I announced I would be adding a new series on my blog called, Just Another Mani Monday, which was inspired by none other than the Bangles.
I haven't been posting any manis lately because I've been suuuper busy swatching new collections (OPI Spider Man, OPI Minnie Mouse, OPI Ballet, China Glaze Crackle Glitters, Zoya Beach & Surf etc). In short, I've been swatching nail polishes left and right! ;)
ANYWAY, here is the first installment of my Just Another Mani Monday series.
Overall, I really like how this turned out! This is what I have currently have on my nails. It's one coat of Nicole by OPI Others Pale By Kim-parison, then 1 generous coat of Jordana Gemstones, and lastly, a second coat of OPBK. I was curious to see what this mani would look if it were matte, so I added one coat of essence matt top coat and immediately, it reminded me of a jawbreaker!
It's a less flashy, or subtle if you will, way to wear glitter. I love how the extra layer tones the entire look down, making it more soft and unique.
As always, hoped this helped & happy shopping!
Have you ever created a sandwich mani? If so, what were your favorite combinations? What are your thoughts on this mani? I'd love to know down below!
I just did my first glitter sandwich the other day and I loved the look. I used Sally Hansen Barracuda and NOPI Rainbow in the Skylie. It looked like candy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, just check it out! Great combo! I forgot to comment, but thank you for such an informative post on Big 3 Free! Such an important topic! :) xx

ReplyDeleteLOL, thank you! :) xx
DeleteCute! I love this combination!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm wearing a glitter sandwich now as well, but with purple instead of white! I love the look :)
ReplyDeleteIt did come out looking a lot like Jawbreaker. I am wearing a sandwich mani right now...2 coats of OPI "My Pointed Exactly," followed by one sheer coat of OPI "Pirouette," topped by 1 sheer coat of OPI - "Don't Touch My Tutu." followed by SV clear topper (non matte)...it gave a GREAT sandwich. The white sheer topper over the glitter tones down the bling just enough - you still see some sparkle through it - but it's not glitter mani all over. I put it on Sat and it's looking tonight on Monday like it did when just applied...it's really lasting super well...and I cannot wait to do more similar with the NYC Ballet collection!
ReplyDeletenever done that, going to try it!
