NOTW: Retro Leopard Print

For this weeks nail design, I decided to spice up the original leopard print and go for something a bit more "retro-esk". Here is my take :)

Rimmel: Steel Grey
Sally Hansen: Mint Sorbet
China Glaze: Liquid Leather
Dotting Tools

Have you ever tried leopard print on your nails? If so, what do you use to create the leopard patterns (bobbi pins/toothpicks/needles)? What are your thoughts?! I'd love to know down below!

*I've been compiling photos of my previous nail art and will post them up real, real soon!

Nail designs: Fun with scissors

Three days ago, I was doing my daily blog surfing and I stumbled across the talented, Chloe's Blog. She creates beautiful nail art by cutting fun shapes with tape and using them as stencils. If you have not checked her out, you're missin' out! ;)

Anyway, she posted a few pics of some scissors she picked up at her craft store. After seeing this post, I immediately ran to my desk drawer and pulled out two of my scissors.

The last time I used these were it High School!

First attempt: Take it easy on me, it's my first try. -_- Not the greatest, but I'll get there!
Sally Hansen: Mint Sorbet
Sinful Colors: Savage & Last Chance

Second Attempt: Getting a little better at it.
Rimmel: Steel Grey

Third Attempt: My favorite color combination out of the three!
Sinful Colors: Savage
Dr.'s Remedy: Dark Brown

Tips:
1.) Let base color dry completely before adding tape
2.) Let each coat dry completely before removing tape
3.) This technique is very time consuming. (cutting tape, application, dry time)
4.) Patience is required for best results
I'm very persistent and I'm really hoping to get this technique down soon! *crosses fingers* I'll post new pics once I get it down.
As always, hope this helps & happy shopping!

Have you tried this out? I'd love to know down below!

New! Rimmel Clean Finish Liquid Foundation + a surprise inside the bottle!?

I went to Walmart today because I ran out of nail polish remover and I found these little gems along the way!

Say hello to the Rimmel Clean Finish Liquid Foundation. This line comes in 16 different new shades. According to the label, this foundation will make your sikn "look 100 % poreless", which is great since my pores are huge! ;)  It also claims to have Vitamins A & E. I'll have a review in about a week; this gives me enough time to see how well it works out.

I twisted off the top just to see if it had a distinct smell to it, and it's nothing overwhelming at all. Also, when I went to unscrew the top, there was an interesting surprise inside! There was a spatula of some sort connected to the cap. I've never seen that before! Have you?!

At $3.97, it def. beats the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation price wise! C'mon now, less than $5 for a liquid foundation?! That's crazy! Geeez, and I thought the Fit Me Foundation was cheap! This really is a steal! HOLLA! =)

Happy shopping! Hope this helps!
